Practices interested in oral surgery and enosseal implantology / regenerative surgery
We would like to introduce you to Peter Bujtar, our Maxillofacial and Oral reconstructive surgeon. After obtaining extensive experience and developing a unique interest in oral and maxillofacial surgery Peter comes to Dee Kay Dental. Peter studied toward his medical degree (MD) in Semmelweis University Budapest, Hungary, and Oslo, Norway, where he was drawn to facial deformities. During these years he also studied in Montpellier, France and Freiburg, Germany. After studying some IT he also obtained an MSc in bioengineering over a 4 year period at the University of Economics and Technology of Budapest while still studying medicine. After medical school Peter succeeded and completed his dental diploma (DMD). From 2010 Peter has been practicing full time in the UK. Recently, in 2015 in Finland he gave new meaning to his PhD in maxillofacial reconstructive surgery and bioengineering by investigating novel concepts for facial/jaw mechanics. Peter has proved himself to be a specialist by putting in years of hard work. By being a member of numerous high profile national and international societies, having over a decade of experience, spending time at the most significant medical institutions around the world and by being a part of well known units of the UK (in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial and Reconstructive surgery) Peter has taken hold of a very versatile toolbox with which he can take his work even further.

On a more personal level, Peter had a privileged and moral upbringing. His family valued culture and education; particularly medicine. He was brought up in Hungary in a caring and solid family. He studied multiple instruments and loved sports and computer games in his youth. Peter has two exceptional sons and he takes great pleasure in spending as much time as possible with them.

Initially, Peter started his training in the city of Budapest where the dentistry culture is highly distinguished. After little over half a decade, the UK become Peter`s home; here he absorbed all aspects of dentistry training and caring from children’s hospitals such as the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London and Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool and Glasgow. Through his dedication and commitment he soon began to excel in the care of people with special needs and anxiety. Ultimately he brought the focus of his practice to the personal needs of patients. He began to concentrate largely on facial harmony.

Adult head and neck oncology is another interest he delved into for many years from many well known major head and neck centres of the UK; he was also trained by surgeons from North America. Stringent execution in the gentlest way with well communicated practice within the NHS also provided Peter with constant rewarding feedback even within demanding environments.
A few of Peter’s special interests include patient centred outcome measures, functional and aesthetical reconstructions, evidence based medicine, bioengineering investigation of bone-implant interaction, implant mechanics, implant development and cone-beam computer tomography verification with technology development.

Peter is a highly trustworthy and educated individual who will be joining our practice and will be looking after referrals for Oral functional restorations using Dental Implants. Referrals for Oral Surgery procedures, Maxillofacial Surgery and Regenerative intraoral procedures are also options we do offer through him and have complete faith in him and his ability to do a fantastic job.
