Invisalign in Kirton: Finding your smile
You’ve been flicking through magazines, looking at photos of people with big, gleaming smiles again, and you feel depressed. Everyone else seems to have beaming grins that are perfect for the glossy pages of a magazine, except you. You may think that if you were going to have your misaligned teeth corrected, you should have done it when you were a teenager; but you were too embarrassed back then to wear braces and you certainly couldn’t wear them now you’re an adult, at your age. Think again. This doesn’t have to be the way you feel.
If this all sounds familiar, you don’t need to feel unhappy about your teeth. Here at Dee Kay Dental, we have the answer to acquiring straight teeth, as well as correcting bites and overcrowding issues; through the use of aligners which are almost invisible to everybody. There’s no need to feel embarrassed, whatever your age! Invisalign aligners are made of clear plastic and are custom-fitted to your mouth to apply gentle pressure to your teeth in order to gain symmetry and alignment in your smile.
How does Invisalign work?
Dee Kay Dental are proud members of MiSmile, the only GDP dental network endorsed by Invisalign. With just 40 members in the UK, we pride ourselves in offering quality service from start to finish. First we use iTero technology to take a 3D scan of your mouth; this enables us to produce a 3D animation of how your teeth will look after treatment. For a limited time only, we are also offering this animation for free! After the scan has been taken, we can then produce aligners bespoke for your mouth. This removes the need for impressions of your teeth which are uncomfortable and a bit messy!
Once you have your aligners, you need to wear them for 20-22 hours a day. Each aligner is changed after a week’s use to reflect the changes happening in your mouth. You will be provided with a set of aligners, so you don’t have to come into the clinic on a weekly basis. With the flexibility of time, this means you can afford not to wear your aligners when eating and drinking, allowing you to consume whatever you want. You can also remove them when playing sports or for special occasions. Once your teeth are aligned, you will also need to wear retainers at night to keep them in place.
