Crooked or misaligned teeth can make you feel self-conscious about your smile; they can also make it difficult for you speak clearly or even to eat the foods you enjoy. Call us or complete our Smile Evaluation form to find out how the Invisalign teeth straightening system can transform the appearance of your teeth and correct your bite and we can arrange a free, no-obligation consultation at our Gainsborough or Sheffield practices.

What is Invisalign?

You have probably heard of this revolutionary teeth straightening system as it has been proven to be highly effective and minimally-invasive and is therefore a highly popular treatment – indeed, over 4 million patients around the world have benefitted from this innovative system.

Clear, custom-made aligners gently move your teeth into their optimal positions; each set of aligners is worn for one week at a time before being replaced by the next set to gradually perfect your smile.

Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible and because you can remove them for short periods during the day you can eat a normal diet and clean your teeth as usual. The aligners themselves are easy to keep clean and are entirely safe and reliable.

Invisalign is suitable for most patients, and can even be used for teenagers who have all of their adult teeth.

How the Invisalign System is Fitted at Dee Kay Dental

We are highly experienced in using the Invisalign system and Dee Kay Dental (based in Gainsborough and Sheffield) are one of only 40 members of the MiSmile Network in the UK. We have invested in iTero technology which does away with the need for messy, uncomfortable impressions or moulds.

With the iTero system, we can create a 3D scan of your teeth from which your Invisalign aligners will be created so that they fit perfectly without the need for you to have any impressions taken.

The iTero system can even show you how your teeth will look after completion of your Invisalign treatment: for a limited time, we are offering this 3D animation (which would normally cost £300) for free, with no obligation to commit to having the Invisalign teeth straightening treatment.

How Much does Invisalign cost?

If you do decide to go ahead with the Invisalign teeth straightening treatment at Dee Kay Dental in either our Gainsborough or Sheffield branches, prices start from just £1,895 up to £4,295 depending on the extent of correction required.

Your dentist will be able to give you a personalised quote so that you can make a fully informed decision as to whether to go ahead with treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Invisalign teeth straightening system work?

Misaligned or crooked teeth are gradually moved using gentle pressure applied by clear aligners. The aligners are custom-made for your teeth so that they will not rub or become accidentally dislodged (though you can still remove them at mealtimes and to clean your teeth).

Every week, a new set of aligners are fitted to maintain the gentle pressure, targeting different teeth each week so as to completely control the movement of all your teeth over the course of the treatment. At the end of your treatment, when your teeth are in their optimal positions, you will be fitted with a clear retainer that you will need to wear regularly at night to prevent your teeth from moving out of place again.

What problems can Invisalign resolve?

Misalignment of your jaws or a lack of room in your mouth can cause common problems such as gaps between your teeth, an overbite or underbite, overcrowding or a crossbite. All of these problems can be resolved using the Invisalign in Sheffield teeth straightening system.

How often do I wear Invisalign aligners?

The Invisalign aligners are designed to be worn for 20-22 hours each day throughout your treatment. New aligners are fitted every week. They are removable and we recommend that you remove them at mealtimes (so that you can bite and chew any food you want to enjoy without hindrance) and when cleaning your teeth as part of your normal oral hygiene routine. Part of the drawback of traditional braces was that patients often ended up with decayed teeth because it was so difficult to adequately brush and floss their teeth whilst metal braces were in place – the Invisalign system ensures that your teeth can be kept clean and healthy.
