Invisalign revolution in braces
Do you dream of having beautiful straight teeth without the hassle of traditional braces? Invisalign could be the orthodontic treatment for you. Invisalign uses a series of removable, clear aligners to gently shift crowded, or gappy teeth.
Not only are Invisalign aligners almost undetactable, but they are also removable. Having the ability to remove your aligners, to brush and floss properly, mean that there is no issues with the upkeep of oral hygiene often associated with conventional brackets and wires. Also, the absence of metal means they are more comfortable with less cutting and abrasion caused by the brackets.
Using advanced 3D computer imaging, the Invisalign lab creates custom-made aligners from moulds of your mouth. These aligners apply gentle pressure to your teeth, moving them millimetre by millimetre, until they have reached the desired position. Each aligner is worn for 2 weeks at a time, for 20-22 hours a day, only to be taken out during eating, brushing and flossing.
The length of the treatment depends on you as an individual and the severity of your case, with each person requiring a different number of aligners. However, in most cases, the length of treatment is between 9-18 months.
