How does Invisalign work?

First we use iTero technology to take a 3D scan of your mouth; this enables us to produce a 3D animation of how your teeth will look after treatment. For a limited time only, we are also offering this animation for free! After the scan has been taken, we can then produce aligners bespoke for your mouth. This removes the need for impressions of your teeth which are uncomfortable and a bit messy!
Once you have your aligners, you need to wear them for 20-22 hours a day. Each aligner is changed after a week’s use to reflect the changes happening in your mouth. You will be provided with a set of aligners, so you don’t have to come into the clinic on a weekly basis. With the flexibility of time, this means you can afford not to wear your aligners when eating and drinking, allowing you to consume whatever you want. You can also remove them when playing sports or for special occasions. Once your teeth are aligned, you will also need to wear retainers at night to keep them in place.
