No more crooked teeth with Invisalign Sheffield

Misaligned teeth can be inherited or caused by an accident or thumb sucking. No matter how a patient ends up with misaligned adult teeth, the targeted appliances that are now available can correct virtually any condition.

Early diagnosis makes for easier correction

It is important to develop a proper dental maintenance regime for your children at a very young age. The sooner you introduce them to a dental surgery, the easier it will be for them to handle dental care without developing dental anxiety. Like anything, the sooner our team at Dee Kay Dental detects a dental problem, the sooner they can treat it.

Equipment is constantly evolving

Not only is dental equipment constantly evolving, but techniques are improving rapidly as well. Braces that were once cumbersome and irritating have been redesigned to be more comfortable and efficient. Some designs still use wires, blocks and bands, but the latest designs make these components less visible.

There is the lingual brace, which can be fixed behind your teeth, making them virtually undetectable. A design called a self-ligating brace adjusts automatically, meaning fewer visits to the dental surgery. Some designs use tooth-coloured materials, which makes them less conspicuous. Invisalign Sheffield is a different design that resembles a gum shield because it can slot over your teeth without needing to be fixed in place. Invisalign Sheffield aligners are referred to as trays and utilise a number of differently orientated trays; each one is designed to gradually move your teeth into the desired positions. The trays are made from a patented flexible material called SmartTrack.

Digitisation speeds up the process

The Invisalign Sheffield process uses the latest technology, and because of digitisation, everything can be done far more quickly and efficiently. By using an Itero 3D scanner, we can produce a detailed view of your entire oral cavity; this does away with the use of dental putty. The Itero view is stored using the Invisalign software, which also allows us to show you a virtual image of your smile after treatment; this is a procedure that has only been made possible by modern technology. All your information is then sent digitally to the laboratory for processing, which can also be done digitally, preventing any delays.

Accurately prepared trays

Using algorithms, the software produces exactly the right number of trays and in precisely the correct sequence to achieve the best results possible to correct your condition. Because these trays are so precisely created, you will need to wear each one for a minimum of 22 hours a day for around two to three weeks to achieve the maximum benefit. You can remove them to clean your teeth or eat.

Your smile delivered

At the end of your treatment, you will be required to wear a retainer for a few weeks and then less often as time progresses. This retainer is designed to hold your teeth in their new positions while they settle. The smile we show you at the beginning will then be a reality that you can show off to the world every time you smile.
