What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a system that uses plastic aligners to realign teeth. The aligners are transparent, so they shouldn’t be visible as you wear them over your teeth (imagine a gumshield, but they are more streamlined.) The aligners are made to measure your mouth precisely using iTero technology, a digital scan from which we get the measurements of your mouth that are required for having the aligners manufactured in the Invisalign laboratory. You will change your aligners on a weekly basis and each aligner applies pressure to the teeth to gradually move them into the targeted position. Using the digital scan, we can generate a 3D animation of how your teeth will appear once treatment has been completed, so you will know from the outset how wonderful your smile is going to look.
